Send In The Stats
Posted on 08/24/09 Hi Guys,
Just a few notes about sending in scores and stats.
1) Can you send the stats and scores to stats@lakeheadtf.com. That way if I can't enter them for some reason Dan still has access.
2) When sending stats enter them in the following fashion:
- Use first and last names
- Use one line for each player name
- For converts use 1pts or 2pts for convert scored and 1ptt or 2ptt for converts thrown. Sometimes it isn't clear.
- If your QB has thrown converts put it in their stat line. I won't assume that because Player A threw three TDs and Player B caught a convert that Player A threw a convert.
- Put something between the number and the name of the stat. Stops confusion on the converts.
- For example:
Joe Blow - 1-tds, 2-tdt, 2-1ptt, 1-2pts
Guy Smiley - 2-tds, 2-1ptt, 1-Int
I know it looks cryptic but it will help in the long run and make entering the stats much easier.
3) If you ever notice an error let me know. I have been known to make mistakes.
4) If you have stats from the previous three games please send them in.
5) Please have your head refs send in the scores of the games they ref. Sometimes we have disputed final scores and it the head refs score that is final.
6) So send in your stats we now have three people involved with the site so it should be much easier to keep on top of things.
Thanks
Year End

If anyone wishes to help out in organizing in the outdoor season please advise me. registration for the outdoor season will be by July 15, play begins in early August.
Thanks

Second Half Schedule
Posted on 02/17/09 Guys, here is the 2nd half of the schedule consisting of 3 more games. Please note that week 8 is 2 Mondays (Feb 23 and March 2) due to the dome having a Outdoor show on the weekend of March 1st. After that , week 9 and 10 will be SUndays and Mondays. Also, Div 1 will now play in south while Div 2 plays in north.
Teams are now split for the remainder of the season.
A - division - Bulldogs, Sharks, Phantoms, Persian men
B - Whitefish, pack, maddens, steam
B - Caucasians, Tony and adams, Blaze
C - RIngers, Hippos, Young Guns, Montanas
You will play each other in your division once only ( except Div2 B due to odd number), then the playoffs will begin based upon your standing in your division.
In the case of B - all 7 teams will seeded based upon your standing in current division with Div 1 being 1-4 and Div 2 being 5-7.
Playoffs will be in A and C - 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 then finals.
In B, 1st gets bye while 2-7, 3-6, 4-5, then highest seed vs lowest, then finals
Please review head ref assignments.
League Update
Posted on 01/06/09 1 - teams rates are - $950 each team....new teams ( MTO, Barnwell, Persian men, and Pack) pay an additional $125 for insurance. The summer league teams pay that in August and lasts until April.
2 - Ref costs are built into the fee, we will pay refs $20 per game for the head ref only.
3 - Teams will be scheduled to supply either a head ref or a back ref - same as last indoor season. Head ref equipment will be in the indoor locker - please ask for key at the desk. There will also be grey T-shirts in there (they are washed !) for games with duplicate colours
4 - included in your team fee is a $100 upfront bond as a fine for not supplying either a head or back ref. At the end of the season I will refund that back if you didn't get a fine.
5 - If you miss supplying a ref 2 times, then you will be kicked off the schedule with no refunds....last season we kicked out a team that missed twice. Please schedule your guys in advance so you are not scrambling the last minute to provide a ref....experienced teams will have more head ref assignments.
6 - Captains have a roster form - please have it filled out and into me by January 2nd latest........you will be able to add or delete players until week 4, please get changes into me so I can advise TFO.
7 - Remainder of league fees are due by January 11, so you will have time to collect the first week.
8 - Team rosters are 16 for returning teams and 18 for new teams. As I get calls from Individuals, I will forward onto teams who have requested players.
9 - We will keep stats again and have posted to the website and the bulletin board.
10 - The schedule will be in 2 divisions of 8. They are seeded. You will play each team once in the first half of the schedule (7games) and then we will re-seed for the final 3 games of reg season. Playoffs start then..
Div 1 - Bulldogs, Whitefish, Sharks, BP, Persian Men, Maddens, Team Steam, The Pack
Div 2 - Tony and Adams, Blaze, Caucasians, Ringers, Replacements, MTO, Barnwell, Twin Engines,
There will be provisions for teams to move up or down based upon play in regular season. (ie - if you go 10-0 in div 2 and a team goes 0-10 in division 1 - you will switch places for playoffs)
11 - Guys, I can't remind everyone enough that players can't mouth off to refs, and to play with sportsmanship. We had issues last indoor, and I dont want a repeat this year. Team captains are the only ones able to talk to refs.
12 - Guys, please make sure each week that your team picks up all water bottles after the game.
Also, just as a reminder that soon we will be following a flag football league of 11-12 year olds, so please make sure we dont use any foul language as we are waiting to take the field at 7:00.
Finally, congratulations to the winners of our outdoor season:
A Side Champs - Sharks
B Side Champs - Whitefish
C Side Champs - Caucasians

Fall Open Tournament
Posted on 09/14/08 Great job everyone on a well played fall weekend open tournament. It was great to see 7 of our 10 teams out and playing all weekend.
Congratulations to the following teams on their wins:
A Side Champions: Cambrian Bulldogs
B Side Champions: Whitefish Eagles
C Side Champions: Persian Men
2008 Fall Tournament
Posted on 09/09/08 Tournament schedule has been posted. Click the link on the left side for details.
To note: for Hamm Division - I have only scheduled teams to provide 1 ref per game - one to back judge, 1 to line judge. For Westgate division - you will only have 1 game to do, but you need 2 refs to provide ( back and 1 side).
Dave Smelow will be scheduling head refs....however he needs help for this, so if he calls please help, otherwise there will be only 2 refs to do a game. If some of your players want to head ref more games, let Dave know - We will be paying head refs as usual, and I will pay on Sunday.
There are only 7 teams entered which messes up the odd team division. There will be 2 divisions - 1 with 3 teams, 1 with 4 teams - both will be round robin per division - I have selected teams out of a hat for the divisions. Playoffs will happen on Sunday like last year.
There will be prize payouts for 6 teams - A,B,C for winners and runners-up. The 7th place team will receive Molsons prizes.
Please lets keep this a fun weekend, with good sportsmanship and co-operation with refs.
We will wrap up on Sunday at Boston Pizza after the A final.
Thanks
Gary
Notes so far
Posted on 08/18/08 1- Guys, I will be getting more captain armbands for each team to keep.... please dont lose them.
The captains are the only ones allowed to talk to refs. We must enforce this as lots of yapping at refs will not be tolerated...refs will give penalties.
2 - If your team needs ref equipment, please let me know, I have extra bean bags for markers and whistles and flags. I even have 2 ref jerseys. If your team is required to head ref and you dont have equipment, please advise.
3 - Also, all teams should tell all players about the harsh penalties for not providing refs.....all players need to be involved in side reffing, head reffing or back judging.
4 - I have a spare set of jerseys ( gray) for use if there is a duplicate colour of jersey for teams playing each other. These jerseys are available at the golf dome, in the touch football locker, please ask the desk staff for the key. (They have been cleaned).
Although most teams have separate colour jerseys, I am not sure what Twinn Engines jersey is, and there may be a conflict between the Sharks and Tony and Adams.
Thanks
Gary
